September 2014 EB-5 Immigrant Investor Processing Times Released by USCIS

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) released the September 2014 average processing times for EB-5 Immigrant Investor related applications.

USCIS decision making time for I-526 and I-829 Applications have been slightly decreasing every month. However, decision regarding the awarding of Regional Center designation has increased. This may be likely do to the increased number of applicants, and increased scrutiny by USCIS.

  • Form I-526 (Immigrant Petition by Alien Entrepreneur): 13.3 Months. This is a decrease of .1 of a month.
  • Form I-829 (Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions): 7.6 Months. This is another monthly decrease in adjudication time of .8 of a month
  • Form I-924 (Application for Regional Center): 7.1 Months. This is another monthly increase in time, this time for 1.7 months from last months adjudication time.
To make sure that your application is adjudicated in the fastest time possible, make sure to hire an immigration attorney that is experienced in filing EB-5 Petitions. Errors or mistakes in the documentation will lead to extended review periods and Requests for Evidence (RFE) by USCIS that will cause additional delays.
