16 Terminated EB-5 Regional Centers in 2015

USCIS continually monitors EB-5 Regional Centers to make sure they conform to the minimum requirements set by the Department of Homeland Security. Regional Center certification can be taken away if the Regional Center does not submit Form I-924a on an annual basis, on a cumulative basis, and/or otherwise requested by USCIS to demonstrate continued eligibility; or fails to promote economic growth as required by the Department.

An EB-5 investor cannot use a Regional Center that has lost its certification to obtain a Green Card. The list of the most recently terminated Regional Centers are below. For a list of approved Regional Center, please visits this site.

Below is a list of EB-5 regional centers whose participation in the Immigrant Investor Program has been terminated. These regional centers no longer appear on the list of approved regional centers.

EB-5 Timetables Still a Mess - February 2015

The new EB-5 Immigrant Investor Visa Processing Timelines were released for February 2015 by USCIS. Unfortunately processing times are still very high. There was a decrease of a month for the I-526 Application (Immigrant Petition by Alien Entrepreneur) but the other two EB-5 programs had increases, with the I-829 Application (Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions) jumping 3.7 months.

  • I-526 (Immigrant Petition by Alien Entrepreneur)
    • 13.8 months (Decrease of 0.9 months)
  • I-829 (Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions)
    • 10.5 months (Increase of 3.7 months)
  • I-924 (Application for Regional Center)
    • 10.3 months (Increase of 1.3 months)

For best results for your EB-5 application, consult with an Immigration Attorney experienced in filing EB-5 applications.

February 2015 Visa Bulletin - Slow Movement Except for Employment Categories

The February 2015 Visa Bulletin showed a slow movement forward for most categories in the Family-Based Visa Category. However, the Employment-Based categories are still moving forward rapidly, especially the EB-3 and EB-4 category for most countries.
